I was artistic, empathetic, and strategic in my thinking. Most importantly, I desperately needed to understand the why behind everything I was learning.
School was always a puzzle for me, except when I was in art class. While other kids seemed to navigate the academic world effortlessly, I was wired differently. Traditional education felt like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. The one-size-fits-all approach left me feeling lost, confused, and frankly, like I wasn't smart enough. Teachers would explain concepts in ways that just didn't click with how my brain worked.
For years afterward, I wandered through life, searching for my place and wondering how someone like me could possibly contribute something meaningful to the world.
